To provide culturally appropriate programs for Aboriginal & Torres Strait Islander youth in-care.

The Intent of Deadlee Maardars Association Inc.:

Provide culture based camps for Aboriginal & Torres Strait Islander youth in-care or are part of a single parent family


Provide leadership camps where Indigenous leaders gain nationally recognised accreditation.


Provide programs for men in correctional facilities to better link with their families and to achieve recreational goals such as art, use of audio visual equipment and anger behaviour management.

Recent Accomplishments of Deadlee Maardars Association Inc.:

. implementation of culture camps for A&TSI boys aged 10 - 12 years.


. development of an Indigenous leadership program for camp leaders


. attaining three units in Cert II Tourism for our leaders to ensure they achieve a reasonable pass in Year 12.

Participation in Deadlee Maardars Association Inc.:

Joining the group is restricted to: All members need to be over 18 years of age.

Meeting Venue:

We meet fortnightly at the Regional Community Association Moreton Bay in Lamington Drive, Redcliffe. This organisation provides space for us to meet out in the open around a Yarning Circle.

The venue is wheelchair accessible.

Meeting Times:

We meet fornightly - each alternate Wednesday evening from 7.00 - 9.00pm.

Membership Fees:

Our membership fee for adults is $2.00 per annum.
